The board of elders
The board of elders is a standing committee of the Church, composed of the Senior Pastor and the lay Elders.
Primary duties consist of:
- Shepherd the flock.
- Pray and be obedient to God’s Word.
- Lead the development of the Church vision, mission, and plans.
- Envision, review, and recommend Church budgets.
- Lead the assimilation and discipleship process.
- Authorize Church policy.
- Nominate candidates for Elder, Key Ministry, and committee positions.
- Resolve conflict, lead church discipline, and act as an intermediary in church matters.
- Participate together in spiritual growth and accountability.
- Screen all candidates for membership and approve those who meet the criteria for membership before they become members.
- Develop the Church Strategic Plan.
- Provide oversight and management of any designated gifts to the Church for strategic intent.
