Love in Action has two primary ways of helping you connect with service in the community through Grace:
1. Second Saturday: short, monthly Saturday morning service projects.
2. Service Teams: ongoing teams with a particular service focus, such as handyman projects, driving people, and creating cards, to name a few. These teams may sometimes respond to an internal Grace request, but the primary focus is to express the love of Christ to our local community by hands-on service.
Other ongoing opportunities to serve:
ESL CONVERSATION PARTNERS NEEDED
Become an English Conversation Partner for the summer with an ESL student who speaks some English. The ESL ministry is looking for people to befriend an English language learner (same gender) for the summer months, provide one-on-one English conversation practice, and intentionally demonstrate the love of Jesus. You and your student decide when and how often to meet.
YARD WORK Mowing, raking, clean up, weeding, clean out gutters, etc -- there is work suitable for all ages, as well as families.
We want to support the military families of the Delta Unit by providing free childcare during their monthly support group meeting (dates TBD), as well as provide help to the new mom with triplets. Kids (over 12) are welcome to sign up.
We are looking for the names and addresses of attendees of Grace’s who have loved ones who are currently in military service overseas. We’d love to send them cards. Please provide names and addresses to Michelle Rose
