ROC (Relying On Christ) ... the middle school ministry of Grace Baptist Church. We think the name fits, seeing as how middle school (six, seven and eight grade) is a great time of transition, when our youth are looking at their own faith and testing to see where they have built their foundation. It’s a time of much change as our children move from their child-like ways into young adults.
We want to come along side students and parents during this transition and provide a place for students to feel safe, have fun, and make memories that will last a lifetime. In short, ROC is where:
 |
1. Friendships are established and encouraged.
2. The Gospel is taught and practiced.
3. Life change, holiness, and maturity are fostered. |
ROC Friday night program ...
hang out, eat pizza, play ga-ga, basketball, or whatever (6:00 PM) |
 |
The “official” program starts at 6:30 PM and is the loudest, craziest, most high-energy night that happens at GBC. What happens varies from big group activities and outdoor jello wars to scavenger hunts and group games. Our evening also includes breakout sessions into small groups to discuss and ponder relevant topics. Whatever it is, you can always count on it being a great time to hang out with friends and grow in your relationship with God

This is our 10:45 Sunday morning middle school program, and is an extension of what takes place on Friday nights. Our focus here is to continue to grow in our faith by digging a little deeper into God’s Word. The morning is filled with hands-on activities and games, which allow discussion, creativity, laughter and spiritual growth.
